Being a huge Twilight Zone fan since childhood, I read a Serling bio years ago, and found the man to be a highly interesting and multi-layered personality. I'm going to pick up this one by his daughter.

I read that years ago, it took quite some time. I starting logging what I've read. I brought home a book I thought I'd find interesting from the Library. About 5 pages in, I realized I'd already read it. I had been interesting though.

On the topic of "The War of Northern Aggression". Read the "Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara many years ago. It was on my commander's reading list for all the officers in the battalion. What I got out of it was the futility of war when tactics don't keep up with technology. And uncommon bravery can be common when men have unit cohesion and a cause they believe in.

It's really good. You just think you know about a person, then you read and realize, no, you don't. I recommend it - not just because it's Rod Serling. It's a really good story of the man, the times, and his relationships. I am liking it a lot!

No Loop doctrine. Although I know from whence you speak. The only other title I can remember was "The Forgotten War" I believe by Clay Blair. Since the Cavalry battalion I was assigned to was positioned in Paju county north of Seoul, ROK it seemed pertinent.

'The G-String Murders' by Gypsy Rose Lee. I've only just started reading it this morning but it is quite entertaining. A murder story set in a burlesque theatre (later filmed as 'Lady of Burlesque').

Until I spotted the book in a book shop, I had no idea that she even wrote novels. The book was followed up by 'Mother Finds a Body'. She also wrote a play called called 'The Naked Genius' which was filmed as 'Doll Face' in 1946.
