Go Into Your Dance (1935), from the motion picture of the same name, by the Henry Biagini Ork. This was an official Casa Loma unit, the only other band to use the name. It made very few records, this one a pretty good up tempo side.

Lapinha by Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66.

I keep telling my mother that it is really all her fault that I learned to love Brazil and Portuguese. She loved them and we listened to them endlessly as a child so its really no wonder.

I am listening to...

Jack Hylton and His Orchestra - "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries" (Rec. 1931).

One of the sweetest songs to come out of the depths of the Depression.

Currently working through "Voyage of the Scarlet Queen." Elliot Lewis makes reading a menu sound like a general shouting orders during a battle.

The youngest Hood is hooked on "Adventures by Morse," starting with the "City of the Dead" eps. Finished "Cobra King" and just started "Girl on Shipwreck Island." Morse is unsurpassed.
