Last summer, during the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings, at Ste Mere Eglise, our friend was encouraged to get up and, "give us a song." Lorraine is an accomplished singer, opera trained. I think most people were expecting a sort of, out of tune kind of song, that gets sung at family parties. What happened next stunned them all into silence. Here she sings: "Requiem for a Soldier." There was not a dry eye at the end. Apologies about the dodgy camera work, but stick with it just to listen to Lorraine.
