What’s your best hanger for leather jackets?

Earlier in the year when I made a decision to get back into leather jackets - first thing I did was buying 3 of these delux cedar wood hangers! They were sold in UK by an Amazon retailer Hanger World, but when I checked today I could no longer find them. I did find the identical one on a US shop website - https://swedishredcedar.com/products/cedertra-hangare-hall

They are really the best I’ve seen /used! Broad shoulders, and very solid build. If they have a weak point it’s how the thick metal wire is screwed into the cedar wood - one day it may just fall out under extended period of heavy load.

My 3 jackets from different makers are surprisingly consistent in weight 3.2, 3.1 and 3.2KG - and this hanger design handles them well.

What are the best hangers you’ve used for hanging leather jackets? Show some pics please and ideally where to buy them.

I take a couple of decent shaped medium thickness wooden hangers (tape them together) and then sellotape bubble wrap around them so as to give width and support to the leather jacket eventually hung there.

Your hanger has the wrong angle. This may affect the jacket

I’ve found a few other threads here on hangers - wow this had been discussed over and again :)

The cedar wood hangers I posted above are 19.75” long which I think is the longest shop bought hanger one can find. My KoTR does look a little sagged at shoulders on it - but I won’t lose sleep on it - in fact this may help breaking in?? My other jacket which is a JL goat sits on this hanger quite well I think.

I am quite intrigued at the idea of remaking your DIY version @Bennarion when I eventually find the time. I used to be into axes (yes axes - single bit, double bit, hatchet etc) and I made handles from ash or hickory planks - I didn’t have machines so all curves were hand shaved and sanded! My kids already think I’m mad wearing a double zip jacket when doing chores on Saturday at home - if they see me making a hanger for jacket they may start saying daddy you’re a bit weird…

And I need to find really good hardwood planks again like ash or walnut. How did you do the metal hook - did you buy wire and bent it and threaded the end for a nut?
