Some Western Noir this very early a.m. in my reblocked and refurbished 10X Longhair Thoroughbred. A little tribute to the '50s and '60s TV Westerns.

Just got home from an afternoon Chili & Soup holiday potluck at a friend's house. We took the Southern Burgoo & I wore my Stetson One-hundred. Parked it up high on top a bookcase & kept my eye on it the whole time.

You didn’t use it as a chili bowl!?
It does, kind of. I think a lot of those T.V. Western hats from the '50s and '60s had that similar style to them. I always liked Bret Maverick's hats. He had a black one and a light colored one with that similar look.Reminds me of Matt Dillon's hat on Gunsmoke.

Ha,ha,ha. I have a feeling that even the horse might be jeopardy if that was the hat in question.
I have a few O'Farrells from the 1980s up through 2006 and they were all purchased used. These were all made during Kevin O'Farrell's tenure (the shop is now run by his son after Kevin's passing). These hats are all quite nice and my experience while in the shop in Santa Fe was great (although I have not had a hat made especially for me). Expensive hats, but most custom westerns are. Seems like @RJR has a few O'Farrells as well so maybe he will chime in.
My wife's:
My Son popping this unfinished Biltmore Western on his head. I'll have more on this one when I'm finished.
Thank you buddy! I actually sized that hat up four sizes from a 6 3/4 to a 7 1/4 to fit me. My Son was wearing it before I sewed a sweat band in it. After the size up I didn't have enough brim to make it the style of Western I would have liked, so I converted it to a fedora and reworked the finish on it.Nice hat, Sir! It reminds me of Eric 'Hoss' Cartwright's hat from Bonanza only a different colour.
Man, that is a rockin outfit! Open Roads always look great. The shirt and jacket are killer! The diamond snaps are so cool!Stepped out in the Open Road last night. A local jazz group shifts gears every year the night before New Year's Eve and plays a tribute to Hank Williams. I thought it would be a fitting lid for the occasion.

Thanks Cuz. I've had it for ages. I dropped about 30 pounds this past year and it fit again, so thought I'd break it out for the occasion. Glad I hung onto it.Great look, Cuz. What a jacket5!
