Yeasy to see why....and you're generous to a fault, Cuz. I hope I am at least able to see it in person soon. I'm cautiously optimistic about maybe coming up that way for the panoply festival next month.Thank you, Alan.
Thanks, Cuz. Can’t complain about the way the boots turned out and they are comfortable.
I’m a big fan of the lapis style jewelry but I’m fairly conservative in what I wear. I was afraid it would be too much but this is a favorite piece, now. Always available to you.

That is another good crease pattern for @Steve1857 to try with his 10 gallon model!
It's a 4 x 6-1/2 OC, TJ. I can't remember for sure but I think it had a gambler/Drover type crease with high rolled fenders, & one of those ridiculous macrame hatbands. Here's some pics after I opened it up.That's a big hat! What's the particulars on that one HJ?
Steve, that will give you a lot of taper in a tall crown.I'm planning on more pronounced side pinches,
Yessir! That's a nice one. I like it! I'd love to come across a few more of those. It's a 4 x 6-1/2 OC, TJ. I can't remember for sure but I think it had a gambler/Drover type crease with high rolled fenders, & one of those ridiculous macrame hatbands. Here's some pics after I opened it up.

I have a Stagecoach Outlaw that is 4-1/2 x 6-3/4 OC. But it is very thick & dense Western felt. I lowered it down with a horseshoe crease & just made up a faux twisted barb wire hatband like we made in the 80's. I don't wear it much because of the heavy felt.Yessir! That's a nice one. I think Michael Ray has a Hi-7.

Good job with the creasing. For comparison of colors here's one of mine in Sandtone (vs Sandtone Fawn).also found out that Akubra call the colour Sandstone Fawn.
I've been having fun playing around with shaping my new to me Akubra Woomera.
Found some great inspiration on this thread especially from @T Jones and @Hurricane Jack. Thanks guys.
I finally came up with this: a before and so some after shots.

I changed out the TAR for a leather braided band with cowboy knot.

I like what you’re doing with that, Steve. Similar to the crease in the hat Kevin Costner wore in “Open Range”. My preference would be to see you lower the fenders somewhat, with the roll out closer to the edge of the brim, but that’s just me. That’s a good color.
Where are your boots?
