Thank you Alan. I appreciate that. I'm a fan of the SA among other Resistols.

It's Friday night...haven't watched this in a good long while...getting ready to reminisce some.

Here's the Johnny B. Goode version. That was my favorite movie way back in the day.

I still have a VHS copy. My wife is a few yrs younger & she used to ask me how I could watch that movie over & over. I told her she didn't understand. That was exactly what we did every Fri & Sat night! Always brings back memories.

Don't know if they still have them or not, but the Koch Bros used to own the '32, the '55 & the '58 used in the movie. The '55 that was rolled in the final scene was the '55 from the movie Two Lane Blacktop. It was already fitted with roll bar & safety cage so they rolled it.

I remember watching Two Lane Blacktop at the drive in way back in the day. James Taylor and Warren Oates were in that movie. Right around the same time there was also a movie called 'Corky' where Robert Blake drove across country in a Barracuda looking for races....the one that started it all was 'Thunder Road'. Mitchum started off with a souped up 1950 Ford that he used for hauling Moonshine and then ended up with a souped up '57 Ford later on in the movie.

I don't remember Corky, but another great one I like to watch is California Kid with a young Martin Sheen.

I definitely remember California Kid. I liked that movie. Sheen drove a '34 Ford with suicide doors. Vic Morrow was the sheriff in that one(?) I wish they would show that movie on TCM, or something.

Here's a scene from Corky. Blake races a '69 Camaro in this scene
