Wearing the only green hat I own and if not for HJ pointing it out and encouraging me about it, I probably would not have bought it. The only green I owned so I picked up a Filson western wool shirt to go with it accompanied by a Pendleton pig skin (machine washable) vest and Eddie Kimmel boots.

This is my most favorite Portis on the lounge by far. There’s a Portis straw out there i like but not near as much as this hat. I like green better each time i see this one. Thanks man.

You’re on...should i venture that way. Eastern streambeds are much more angular, less rounded rocks=hangups when nymphing (fishing not the other) then Western streambeds. Dry flys, just diff bugs, same tactics.
Now back to hats. Eastern hats...fedora. Western hats...cowboy. Ha
My new Western Eastern fishing hat. Kidding.

Anybody ever get bored s***less with fedoras or is it just me? Sometimes i look at mine and just don’t get the urge or need to wear them.
Big Westerns i don’t do much thinking i’ll look stupid not being a real cowboy.
So...in the spirit of “i don’t give a s**t what others think” that i tell myself, i been giving this one alot of thought.
If i ever want to wear it i have to crease it because i don’t do big open crowns.
This one never had a crease as claimed by seller and i can’t dispute.
It got one today for a bit, so here it is.
Dobbs Twenty-Five Rancher.
Not your normal Dobbs me thinks.
Ramble done.

That's a great one, B. Plenty of crown and brim to do some things with. I seldom get much of an urge to wear a classic fedora anymore. In fact I've sold most of mine and it's Been a long time since I gave a s**t. Rockin the rays today, I see. How do they wear?

Speaking of oddballs....here’s another one.
This one is nearly impossible to photograph if there is much light...it just blinds the phone camera because it’s so sugar white.
Knox Forty....OR Clone type.
Felt is pretty much as is a Forty Fedora.
