Wanna' see TonyB's new set-up!?

I've been chatting with him via PM and phone lately. He recently moved and set up an effective workspace. He mentioned being a little shy about tooting his horn but I know he's very happy with the new shop and I suspect some of us would like to see photos.

What say you, fellow Loungers?

Who visits this place and doesn't want to see a place where hats are made?
I'd love to see 'em.

Neat-o!

I'd be quite pleased to see photographs of the shop. A hatters shop is a rare enough sight nowadays to be well worth seeing.

Besides that, I hope to order a fedora from him some time this year and while the intention is almost set in stone, seeing the shop might urge me along a little.

Whoa! That was quick. What do you have in those Stratoliner boxes?

Moving has been a pain, of course, as it always is, so I'll spare you all my tale of the complicating factors this time around.

The new place was built in 1993. I much prefer the look of older houses (generally), but this one had so many other attributes (size, accessibility, location, condition, price, etc., etc.) that those aesthetic considerations got trumped.

Even before we moved I was torn between giving my shop a "vintage" look or taking the less expensive and apparently more practical route. Practical won out (again), hence the modern shelving from Costco and the Danish modern (I think that's what they call it) bookcase and the Chinese-made workbench, which was purchased for remarkably little dough from the home improvement super store. I'm usually not one to buy new stuff, especially the sort of stuff that not only doesn't wear out quickly but was also better made back in the day. But man, suitable old shelving and workbenches and whatnot just wasn't turning up.
