I love all of the shoes you ladies are posting. I really like the balck with gold trim but, I can't wear gold trim with all of my jewelry ebing silver tone. Here is what I am checking this weekend.

These I love b/c they remind me of boudior slippers!

And since all of you lovely ladies are helping me out I thought I would post the pattern I made my dress from.

http://www.evadress.com/1283.html I made it up in burgandy rayon satin.

Wow, these GOLCs are a splitting image of the Remix Picasso shoe. They don't have it in black though...

Since your dress is a 30s style, I wouldn't go with the Remix wedges anyway. These might work better for you given the style of your dress. Consider making a pair of silver shoe clips for them!

Also, check out the Remix 20s and 30s pumps. As I said, I think they'd be a better match for the style of your dress!

Retrogirl, what a bummer! Your dress pattern is divine. Can't wait to see it!

I was searching and thought I'd share this blog, amazing what a little T-strap addition can do!

These black and silver ones are pricey, and not wedges, but I thought they were pretty!

Probably too much silver, and not a wedge either... (I really see a ballroom type with your dress! And dance shoes should be comfy..)

Ooo, pricy but pretty! (yah, I'm having fun shopping too!)

They have a few other black with silver as well, but I won't list them all.
I was probably no help, and I should be in bed, lol!

Oh my goodness! I am in shoe heaven! Lol! Well, thought my dress is 30s, i wnated wedges b/c heels sometimes irritate my ankles. BUt if I keep it under 2 inches I will be good. I looked at the 30s part of remix and the price prohibites procuring a pair. I was given a 90 dollar limit. Ah, if only I won the lottery!lol I think I would spend all of it on shoes and clothes in a new york minute! I will update all of ya'll on my shoe progress. And of anybody has links to a 1930s and 40s make up charts or diagrams could you post those please?

MOst of the time a size 9.5 to size 10. I have large feet, or as my fiancee says "destroyers". And my dad calls my feet boats!lol When I was high school I used to wear Vans skateshoes and I nicknamed them "mini-vans"!

Aw MAN! I have a beautiful pair of Daniel Green black boudoir types but they are a 9.
They measure 10 and 1/4 on the inside. :eusa_doh:

Do you really think they'd fit you?! I'd sell em to you cheap! PM me if interested~
I'll get some pics. I don't think they've ever been worn, they're satin. Only thing wrong with them is that the inner lining has come up, easy fix.

i wear size 11. i hate my big feet!

what kind of wedding are you having? The dress is stunning, but not traditional, so i'm really curious to hear about your wedding. i love non-traditional weddings.

Well my dress pattern is from 1937 and my fiancees military uniform is from 1935. So its kinda a traditional non traditional wedding. We have small details here and there that are remincte of the 30s/40s.

New & Planning a Vintage Wedding

Hey Ladies!

I am brand new here and look forward to milking all of your wonderful 'vintagesque' brains! I am 28(ish) and in the middle of planning my wedding. At first it was leaning towards a 20's theme... now much more towards the 30's... with a bit of 40's thrown in there too! I'm in love with the music & my dress is a vintage-inspired 1930's Harlow gown, so I figured why not? I look forward to chatting with as many of you as possible and am open to any suggestions!
