incredibly and well preserved pea coat of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, made at least 75 years ago, in near mint condition. In that period of time, these coats where regular service issue. Original King's Crown buttons made of real brass in execelent condition, no scratches and very high in detail. All buttons and badges are solid brass.

Overall cloth is very fine and heavy pure wool, lining is red wool and turkis-blue real silk. Except for a tiny tear on the lining, the coat is in perfect condition (see pictures).

wonderfuly crafted, most of the lining is stitched in perfectly by hand. Ver good example of vintage craftmanship!

Size 38

AGE

Due to the leck of stamps or similiar signs inside the tunic, an exact date of manufacture can't be given. As the materials used are all natural and non synthetic (even the threats that have been used inside). This concludes the coat must haven been made latest 1938 or earlyer!

This coat is obsolete by the RCMP (no longer part of the uniform / red serge as issued today) and should be seen as a true piece of history from times where the mounties still did there duty on horseback!
