I heartily agree on the Mitchum Way! One of my favorites by far.

As for the 1st hat, the no-name in granite; the first word that popped into my head when I saw it was "Spike." Don't know why, but it seems to fit-

Well gentleman, I am a long time reader and first time poster.

The hall of fame thread on this fantastic forum has opened up the world of beautifully made and wonderfully coloured felt fedoras to me.
I have recently taken delivery of my first VS custom hat and I must say I am absolutely delighted with the result. My hat is a version which I know we have seen a few of made by Art but I wanted to share some pictures with you all anyway.

When I first saw the movie ‘Public Enemies’ some years ago I remember how struck I was by the colour of Johnny Depp’s deep purply red fedora and when I saw Art’s work I knew this was the one I wanted him to make for me, so here it is. Hope the pics work, not the best quality but you get the idea...

Thank you, Art. It is great to have such a tip top quality piece of head wear made to such a high standard. Even while going through some tough times Art still cracked on and came up with the goods. Like most of us I am planning on what my next custom VS will look like!
