^ I remember reading someplace, perhaps in this forum, that fur was sometimes subjected to electricity (somehow) to separate the furs or get it to stand up or something. I'm sure someone will clarify!

All those B3s on British registered bikes, the jackets may have been bought war surplus, traded or??? Just that one of the guys is wearing a pair of M8 RAF goggles.
The rider of the Vincent in the first pic, the plate is still around(MUM 302) and registered to a Vincent. It looks like an owners club meeting.

Nope, it's actually taken in Finland

just watching Salt of the Earth, the 1954 film about the 1951 zinc miner strike. Those were real miners, and pick any one of them, the outfit would cost $300-$900 by major makers nowadays.....and I'm just talking about the wool and denim ones.
