I find this fascinating because today motorized bicycle riders are obsessed (rightly so) with clothing that is tough enough to survive a mauling by Godzilla, but in ye olden dayes riders seem to wear just about anything, much of it not apparently very protective. I suspect that B3s, for example, though warm, would not have been very protective in a fall. I'm interested in hearing from out expert panel.After the war the B3 has become a riding jacket.
