From IMDb :
"Maureen O'Sullivan does not appear as Jane during the film's famous nude swimming sequence. O'Sullivan is instead doubled by Josephine McKim, a member of the 1928 and 1932 U.S. Womens' Olympic Swim Teams and one of the four U.S. swimmers on that team to win the 1932 gold medal in the 400-Meter Freestyle Relay, setting Olympic and World records. (See Olympic swimming records for 1928 and 1932)."

You have dashed the long-held beliefs of my younger years. Have you no compassion?

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

Booze and rockets/space were apparently linked in some way. Liquor stores named in such a way were everywhere. A popular local one was the Orbit Inn. It was a little higher class than some. They sold all you would expect at any liquor store plus higher end booze and fancy cheese, etc.
The neon sign was everything you would expect of an atomic era joint. Unfortunately the owner sold his license to a large grocery store back when licenses were capped and the Inn is now a shoe store.

1954: Singer/actress Abbe Lane in front of Ciro's nightclub, Hollywood, where she was appearing with then-husband Xavier Cugat.

I did not post this because of the va-va-voom stuff, but because it has some cool neon in the Ciro's sign and, even more so, because it is so iconically - so perfectly - '50s cheesy.
