Vintage neon signs

At twilight, shot in black and white, on a rain-soaked street with a '39 Buick coupe parked underneath and a man in a trench coat and fedora silhouetted from behind, half a block up and walking away, this becomes film-noir perfect:

There’s something about walking inside
these buildings of the past with real wood
floors and the echoing sounds of footsteps
or the tiny bell at the door when you went in.

“Built to last”
Early 1900s hand-crank.

This is the thread I use for my denim jeans.

Oil & instructions which I found at thrift shop have come in handy when adjusting
the bobbin and things.

I have the Singer 1916 with the foot-pedal
but the “hand-crank” model, I can go at my
own speed easier. :)

There is an old motel in Springfield, Illinois with the same sign as the Rest Haven Court above. I haven't been by there for a while and can't remember what it is called. I remember seeing others over the years. I'm sure most are gone now. I always thought the guy selling those signs probably had a line like "you can look just like that new Holiday Inn place."

I've got a few vintage Singers, but I have no idea what they are, or how old they are...I need to upload a few photos here, and maybe you guys can help identify them. [emoji6][emoji106]
