I would eat at that steak house any day of the week Bob! Gentrification of the restaurant scene is sad. Places like Chili's, Ruby Tuesdays, Fridays, Applebys, you name the abomination. They all serve high calories food without flavor. I know we have discussed Truck Stop Restaurants in the past. I remember when that was the best place on the highway you could eat a meal. Sad to see that all disappear for food that is the same price, but a way lower grade. Dammit. [emoji35]That sucks so much Harv. Springfield (MO) loves a chain restaurant as well. I remember the excitement when Chili's came to town. That love meant that long-time icons like Hamby's Steak House eventually went out (and is now a parking lot). This place had the best blue plate specials and pies. And the rolls ... oh, the rolls. We're starting to see a move towards more local independent restaurants, but it is sad to think of what we lost due to the standardization of America.
