Vintage inspired panties-care & purchase?

I just got my first pairs of vintage inspired panties. I love them! I swear, they're the most comfortable underwear I've ever worn. I really want to make them last, does anybody have advice on how to best care for them. Handwash? Woolite? Also, I'd love to get more in the same style. I know awhile back a lovely lady had recommended a site that sold retro nylons at very affordable prices. I no longer have the bookmark and my search is coming up fruitless. I would really appreciate a push in the correct direction....

Care is really quite simple - hand wash in tepid water using the same delicates wash you would use for your stockings or slips. Squeeze the water out (don't wring) and hang to dry.

I love the Nancy King plain nylon undies - they're available from lingerieoutlet.com for $5.25/pr, which is the cheapest I've found.

Thanks! Uh-oh, I don't have a seperate detergent for my delicates. I put them in a mesh bag and throw them in machine with the rest of the laundry. I do air dry though! Any recommendations for a "delicate detergent"? Was originally thinking woolite. Is that a vintage brand? I'll go check out lingerieoutlet

I don't recommend putting any delicates in the washing mashine, especially not if you're washing with hot water. Another thing you should be aware of is that special washes for delicates help them to retain their elasticity, which regular detergents don't do. Also, putting bras in the washer will cause them to lose their shape faster!

A lot of gals would recommend Hosiery Mate. I use one from Lady Grace called Forever New (but only because I like to support local business and not pay shipping). It doesn't really matter what you use - your local department store should carry a special wash for intimates in their lingerie department.

I don't know anything about Woolite, but your wash doesn't have to be a "vintage" brand to work, you know? Just get something designed specifically for intimates, wash by hand and never wring dry, and you'll be good to go.
