It is amazing that you always got want you want or something even beyond your expectation, even more ridiculously is you will sell that jacket and later you get one that is even better.
I don't hit the like button because I am just too jealous.

Lol, Ton and Terry both. I don't know how they get those jackets; I guess that's why I am a noob...;). One day I will score, too, lol. But I will never be able to wear a jacket like Ton. ;)

Tony, that's a great piece right there! Like the baseball glove comments.

That said - condiiton & make it yours. It's an awesome winter piece for Chicago. Just don't tell the folks at Aero about it, maybe it could be a new jacket style for them, since the original manufacture appears MIA.

Thanks Randy. Would be nothing more than a couple simple mods to a Sheene to make this out of natural CXL but I think many of the design elements are outside of Aero’s preferred pattern ethos. Maybe I could convince Ken to do one with that Ruskin label and die knowing my life had a purpose. LOL. But seriously.

Who says insomnia doesn’t pay, that is cool as hell. And the fit is laughably good. It’s almost more sensible to hunt for deals than pay full boat for a custom. This is exhibit A in that argument.

This is what I was planning on doing, but I'm clearly not as good at keywording on the bay as most of you guys.

@Bennarion should provide a tutorial. He finds awesome stuff I rarely see in my searches. Then the key is understanding how the patterns, brands etc fit on your body. I’m okay but others round here seem to possess some sort of beautiful mind for the process.

I'm pretty sure @Bennarion works for the russian secret services and has acces to some fancy search engine we don't know about...

Typically wouldn’t dedicate an entire thread to a jacket like this but I think the details make it cool enough to do so. The design elements are unique, and the hide is just phenomenal. Truly like wearing an old baseball mitt. Has a very natural leather feel and it appears most of whatever top coat it had has long faded away. It’s quite substantial. Reminds me of the cow used on Walter Dyer and Natal jackets. Guessing around 8lbs. The wind flap alone is 1/4” thick! Thicker than my belt. You can see it’s really testing the hanger in the shot of the tag! Pics below tell the story. Found it for cheap late night eBaying. Has a really nice burnished color that just can’t be faked. Somebody did hard time in this jacket. I conditioned the cuffs, primarily to see how much color change I could expect and you can see they’ve gone quite dark. On the fence about doing the whole jacket. Would hate to wipe away all that hard earned wear, but the jacket is thirsty. All the hardware is Talon. Liner is a thin rayon. If anyone has any info on Jimbo leathers I’d love to hear it. Google doesn’t seem to know and trust me when I say you don’t want to do an image search. Just don’t do it.

Ton:
Everything everybody has said about this jacket is right on and in spades.
I’ll just say, man you found a total diamond in the ruff that somnolentless night.
All i ever get is tired!!
Might “Jimbo” be the name of the guy some custom maker made it for??
Hope you don’t get bored and sell it but if you do i’ll get in line. Lol

That’s a good point! Jimbo might well have been the recipient rather than the maker. The hide and cut have me really leaning toward Natal or Walter Dyer. But the mystique of jimbo...the world may never know!
