Some tips for the women from the 1936 edition of Kotiliesi magazine.

Large, however not overweight, women
- Tailor-made clothes with either heavy or light-weight fabrics
- Deep neck opening
- Minimalistic skirt, e.g. no accessories
- Slim sleeves
- Large purse & jewellery
- Medium or large shoes
- Good posture

Small women
- Soft fabrics
- 3/4 and 7/8 skirts combined with jackets with large sleeves
- Belt worn high
- Small bags & jewelleries
- Small gloves & shoes
- Small hat

Overweight women
- Soft fabrics with dark colours; blonds should prefer black and dark blue
- Long vests
- Dress and a 7/8 jacket over three-part suit of blouse, skirt and a jacket
- Curvy lines are preferable over tailor-made lines
