I believe this to be appropriate thread to post this lesser known hat.
Beautiful bone color with 1 1/2” black ribbon/bow in size 7. Unreeded sweat that I didn’t feel safe in trying to peek behind for tags and info. 2 5/8” bound brim, 4 1/2” crown as bashed. Beautiful art deco liner. A very stunning hat.

This was the only tag behind the sweat of the Sunnington @steur and @Frunobulax

Can't get much more generic than that. I don't think it's a Dalton, however. I was going to guess G.W. Alexander, but they were in Reading, PA...
Nothing to go on one way or the other. Could still be one though. The name and location of the retailer on the liner or sweatband doesn't have any relation to the manufacturer.

I ended up trading this and another for a Marathon Panama. In hindsight I should’ve offered to send it to the Netherlands. I believe it was your size, cost me next to nothing and was a gorgeous, unique fedora. I’ll check with you if and when next time.

This is a lotta hat, full 3” welted brim, 6” open crown. Other than a few moth divots and a dark dusty “glaze” if you will from years in storage it’s pretty decent shape. I removed a lot of the dark dust with a naphtha sponge bath. Fits on the small side for 7 1/2 so it’s wearable by me. Even with its wear, imperfections it’s an impressive fedora with its dark pleated ribbon.

Another recent orphan that’s been ridden hard and put up wet many times.
2 1/4” bound brim. No popped stitches on the unreeded sweat though. Could be a decent fedora with some cleaning up.

May have been used as an ash tray also.

At 7 1/8 too small for me. If you’d like to adopt this orphan let me know, just cover the shipping

These three from Chantiles Hat Shoppe of York, PA came across Goodwill. Did anyone here get them?

My father George J. Chantiles was the hatter that created these beauties. He passed away 41 years ago. Sarthena by Chantiles was a combination of my sister's name Sarita and myself Athena. I used to watch him take a flat piece of felt and create a custom hat for his customers. He was an amazing man. His father and one brother were also hatters. We lived upstairs from the shop. I'd love to be able to find one of his hats one day. I'm glad some are still around. Sadly, he passed when I was only 14 so he wasn't able to pass the trade on to me. Thanks for posting this, it brightened my day.
