Hey, HPG...

Yeah, well, umm.... D-Man competes (or did) at curling and from what I gather he's very good at it. So, although that tam is certainly fun and colorful, it is 'for real' where he's concerned - if that makes sense.

I am familiar with Dman's curling exploits. The hat still rocks. (AND, it's obviously vintage.)

It probably wasn't stereotypical enough for buyers. One can imagine their thoughts: "Mesh? What the heck? Darn thing looks '70s or somethin' ... ewwww..."

How about this one, Marc? Something about it doesn't sit quite right about it with me, but I'm still learning.

Dinerman, this one also threw me for a loop. It has elements of old and new. My guess is that it's a newer hat that was made, for whatever reason, with an antique silhouette. Then again, it could be a really old cap whose crown button is unusually large. Who knows?

After seeing this photo, who can argue that new caps are as flattering as the vintage '20s-'40s ones? IMO, there's no comparison.

How old do you think this is? Cross-hatched material looks old, but the lining looks possibly 60's or 70's..? I picked it up for about 15 bucks. Vat do you t'ink?
