Vintage 1940's Golf Shoes

I am looking for a mens vintage golf shoes from the 40's,
anyone know of any onlines stores that may have these ?

Do they have to be vintage? If not, you could get some saddle shoes or spectators and have a cobbler put golf spikes on them.

Vintage '40s men's golf spectators are rare. Oddly enough, the ones for women are easier to find, though they're usually 2-tone "moccasins".


Your best bet is to buy a pair of '40s (non-golf) spectators, and then have cleats put into the soles. Try eBay.

My friends at http://www.vintage-revivalclothing.co.uk/ had a pair of original 1940s gold shoes. They were not spectators, but, they are original golfing shoes with the cleats. They were called the 'Gleneagles'. I would have had them, but they were not that comfy on me (I am a size 10)

Around here you have to use soft spikes anyway on most courses, no metal spikes allowed, so for actual golfing they wouldn't be worth a hoot.
