I had one of these jackets and loved it. Only issue is that it was too short. With the knit hem, it kept riding up when I sat down and would sit near my belly button. If it had two extra inches in length it would probably be my favorite jacket. This was an older model in a size 44 and these were the measurements:

Chest = 23"
Back Length = 24"
Waist = 19"

It might have been too short but you certainly look like you're loving it.

I’m in Sweden and bought direct from Vanson in May this year. Don’t remember exactly but shipping was quick. Less than a week.

It all depends on the courier and the speed of customs handling.

DHL can do all that inside one week, for UPS ten days plus, based on my experience. Worst case is a courier that pools international orders at some hub and bulk-hands it over to a third party for onward shipment. That will take much, much longer.
Also, turnover at the customs office at the destination may vary from one day to one week or even more.

Surely, you do have a tracking number, right?! As long as there is an update every 2-3 days, I try to take delays stoically.

I'm located in Australia. Vanson added shipping details to PayPal about a week ago. But it's just a tracking number with no mention of the courier used.

Ok. If you engage the tracking info within the PP App it should redirect you to the couriers website.
US to Oz in theory should not take longer than US to Europe, but that’s pretty much guesswork here

Thanks mate. Just checked PayPal and looks like it was shipped via UPS International. Lucky I checked as the shipment was stuck in Australia waiting for the import fees to be settled. $232 AUD. OUCH!

Look what arrived today! My first Vanson!
Took just under two weeks to arrive in Australia after placing the order (includes slight delay waiting on import fees to be settled). Pretty good also when you consider the time of year.

I must say the quality is absolutely amazing! I couldn't stop smiling as I got it out of the box. From the large, sturdy brass zips, buckles and buttons to the beautifully thick, sweet smelling leather. Everything looks perfect.

I ordered a Size 42 and am really happy with the fit. I'm 6'2", 185 pounds with a 41.75 inch chest. Sleeve and waist length are perfect in my opinion. What do you all think?

Was sad to have had to put it back in the box until it can be opened on Christmas

Very nice to hear such positive first impressions looks like a great fit with room for layering as well! Could be a bit more form fitting here and there for t-shirt-only, but that makes for a rather unpractical jacket. Not sure how much layering you will do in Australia though?

The jacket feels pretty warm on its own so I don't imagine I'll do much layering.

I'm pretty happy with the overall fit. I wouldn't want it to be any tighter nor baggier. I enjoy weight lifting so my weight can fluctuate a little so it's nice to have that bit of a buffer.

The Vanson B jackets have fitting armholes with a relaxed torso, that's how this pattern works and it works well this way. If you downsize it might not work. I have tried on size 40 from them and have returned and kept the 42 for this reason. I would not size down.

I've got a short clip showing this, when I can figure out how to post it here I will, only lets me attach img file but I've seen short videos attached before... What I got now is a 9mb mp4 file, what should I convert it to to post it here?

Edit, mov file works. See how the arm hole is tight fitting but jacket has a relaxed cut. The B has 6" ease I think there are other Vanson models has less ease but I really like the B, hard to improve this pattern imo, other than leather options.

I'm finding the fit exactly as you described. Very nice in the chest and shoulders but a little loose around the waist. I can cinch the the side buckles up to the tightest hole to neaten it up but then it just looks strange with the bottom hem looking all belled out. Like you said though, I wouldn't want to go down a size otherwise it would be too tight across the shoulders.

In my experience Vanson tends to pattern for the “American” shape. Also longer patterns need to accommodate hips and butts to an extend. That pattern looks like it goes lower than your waist

Don´t really know. Maybe to make body armour fit under it?

I endorse it as one of many patterns to choose your personal optimum from. I have had plenty of Cafe racer, and the once that have stayed (so far...) are the once that are comfortable to wear.

I don´t think your jacket is noticeable too wide in the waist. Surely a benefit of your fit body. With my "B" the extra is a bit more visible, but then, I could probably get into one size down for a more fitted look. Thing is, I don´t want to, as the pattern works as it is, and lets me layer at will.

I was actually wondering that myself re the body armour. I saw that the inside of the jacket is outlined with buttons, possibly for a liner or something to clip in?

That Model B looks like a great fit to me. How long have you had it for when that pic was taken? Looks comfortably broken in?

I bought it used from a forum member last May. Picture is from August 23. It was practically as new, when I got it. This is one of Vansons heav hides, but not Competition weight (Firenze), so it was pretty pliable right from the go.
