I've never heard of this one, going to have to look it up!"Motherless Brooklyn" 2019, Nostalgia Masterpiece by Ed Norton, 49-50 Fords, Stetson Porkys, 4 button suits, 1940 Ford Sedan Slant Back...1950's Jazz background, Dizzy,, Davis,, Trane,, Monk,, A must watch Norton cult classic IMO…..
He put an E on the end. My screen name comes from the Irish blackthorn walking sticks.Oh Yeh…..BLACKTHORNE….wasn't he the Ship Captain's Navigator and Pilot in "Shogun" a Classic TV Miniseries from the 1980's....????
Almost anything with Laurence Olivier in it.....
To me a great example of this was in watching Rafe Fiennes in "The Dig".....was able to completely forget I was watching Fiennes 'acting'......I was watching the character.I'm not so sure I would agree, though I do enjoy his work.
My issue with Olivier is similar to that I have with Anthony Hopkins. While I enjoy their films I find it difficult to get into them as their characters. I can only seem to see them acting. It's as though I can see them concentrating on the process of getting every aspect right. I tend to see them and not their character.
Well worth seeking it out....good movie, good performances.I've never heard of this one, going to have to look it up!
I finally got to see it and yes, I loved it.Well worth seeking it out....good movie, good performances.
