I believe they film this series at Chino Airport in Ca. My friends father offered some technical advise (not professionally) as he was a Ball Gunner. I tried watching this series recently and couldn't do it. Sometimes it sucks being a WWII buff.

Never seen this before.
Typical 60's - nobody bleeds when they die. It was all very nice, patriotic and clean. But - most of all - boring camerawork, 100% studio!
Luckily we've come a long way since then...

I still like it and yup, I too wish the series was on DVD. I wish they would remake these like all the skuttle butt says they want to.

Hi all,

Just joined and this is my first post. I Googled around and found this set of DVD's.
I have no idea of the quality of the DVD or know anything about the company. Just though that
I'd let one and all know that they do seem to exist:

Combat was 12 O'Clock High

Hi all,

Thanks for the welcome and glad to be of help. A few months back I bought two DVD's (which made up the 1st season) of Combat for my father. Got them at Sam's Club. I haven't seen them yet but I do remember watching them with my father when I was quite young. Don't remember much of anything about them though. Also got Rat Patrol there. There aren't any Combat's at my local Sam's but last time I looked there were still some Rat Patrol's. You never know what you might find there.

Gallant Men

Hi Davep,

Going to the same source (once again :D !!!) you can actually get "Gallant Men":

http://www.tvaddicts.tv/movie/action/The_Gallant_Men.html

Looking around that site it is a bit scary - all those series that I remember (and some I gratefully forgot until now). Amazing what you can buy these days. Though some of the prices are a bit rich for my blood though..... ;-)

Sorry 'bout that

Hi Davep,

After going back and rereading your post I see that you already have the "Gallant Men" DVD... OK - I really shouldn't be reading here and trying to do work at the same time. Guess I really should concentrate on just one thing .... and unfortunately it has to be work. Have to earn $$ to eat and pay for my hobbies.... :D

You should never eat hobbies. :D Especially those involving toxic chemicals or sharp pointy things.

Hey look, it's Trapper John and Baretta!
