The Office (Both the UK and the US versions) -- The US version's theme song doesn't have any words, but it is catchy.

I'll let out with "Those Were The Days" from All in the Family every now and then. It's my favorite of them all, even before I figured out they were talking about a LaSalle.

Rin TIn Tin!

My favorite TV theme song - anyone remember?

So brave is corporal Rusty
Though he is just a boy (just a boy)
So true is private Rin-Tin-Tin he is the Army's pride and joy.
Yo! Rinty! Yo! Rinty! Pals through thick and thin.
Of all the tales of the west
We'll remember best
Corporal Rusty and private Rin-Tin-Tin...

When you see Corporal Rusty
His dog is always there
And Rin-Tin-Tin will always fight for him no matter when or where...

When trouble is a'brewin'
And things look awfully dark
He knows that he'll be safe again...
Whenever he hears Rinty bark!

Now that's good stuff.

Do you recall your favorite old tv theme song? Gilligans Island? MASH? All In The Family? Addams FAmily?
Have you noticed that you probably cant think of a current theme song?

Current:

1. Smallville
2. Rescue Me
3. Kim Possible! I'm not ashamed! lol ("Call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me!")

My favorite long-gone one would probably be the A-Team, with a great combo of music, gunfire, and opening monologue.

Kid's stuff has the best songs.

I can't believe I forgot to give a shout-out to Dukes of Hazzard, though! I mean...Waylon Jennings!

In the land of no longer with us, but not long gone, is Firefly. I liked that song.

'Bonanza'

I actually have 45rpm record of Lorne Greene singing the theme song to 'Bonanza'! Imagine that voice on this one!....

Bonanza

We chased lady luck, 'til we finally struck Bonanza.
With a gun and a rope and a hat full of hope, planted a family tree.
We got hold of a pot of gold, Bonanza.
With a horse and a saddle, and a range full of cattle, how rich can a fellow be?

On this land we put our brand, Cartwright is the name,
fortune smiled, the day we filed the Ponderosa claim.
Here in the West, we're livin' the best, Bonanza,
if anyone fights any one of us, he's go a fight with me, Bonanza.

Hoss and Joe and Adam know every rock and pine,
no one works, fights, or eats, like those boys of mine.
Here we stand in the middle of a grand Bonanza.
With a gun and a rope and a hatful of hope, we planted our family tree,
we got hold of a potful of gold, Bonanza.

With a houseful of friends where the rainbow ends,
how rich can a fellow be?
On this land we put our brand, Cartwright is the name,
fortune smiled, the day we filed the Ponderosa claim.
Here in the west we're livin' the best Bonanza.

With the friendliest, fightingist, loving band, that ever set foot in the promised land, and we're happier than them all.
That's why we call it Bonanza...Bonanza...Bonanza...

To this day...

...at any given moment, I can find myself humming "Twelve O'Clock High" or "Combat". Those 'Combat' incidental themes always pop in when I'm hiking or walking intently. What great marching cadence!
