Impulse buy. I’ve seen a lot of these silver boots in the form of pins, tie clasps/bars and brooches but never one quite like this. Most are cast or flat stamped pieces. I’ve seen a few with turquoise inlays on the shaft or a small snake eye piece as an inlay at the rowel. Most are fairly crude that I’ve seen but this one caught my attention because it had been hammered to a three dimensional shape, the overlay work with the spur strap and when the listing said the rowel “spins”, I hit the BIN. If anyone would wonder why I would make such a buy, well........

I really like the shadow box setting of that buckle. It also looks as if it could double as a boat anchor. Great piece.

Thanks Greg. It has good weight but doesn't pull my pants down. I think of it as a solar system motif which works well now that Pluto is out of the picture.

That's a really nice Hopi overlay cuff... love it. I had to look up Lawrence Saufkie's mark but I don't see that he used his initials.

Nice! I'm guessing "She" is letting you borrow it from time to time. :)

I like that!

Thanks, Bob. I’ll have to re-read the paperwork but I think I’ve been granted temporary custody. Glad you like the slide.

Thanks, Alan. I appreciate you taking a look. I’ll keep at it.
