From what i hear, the brothers that make the fabric is fall apart and one of them burn the factory and threw the remaining plush and machinery,i think it was possible now to make a silk plush loom again, but theres almost no market for them,i think mole was an rodent that was used like beaver, turns out it was the plush nap texture resembeling a fur, thank you steve:)

You're welcome K. They both look good, but I'd definitely go with the first one. It's always good to have a top hat with case especially a leather one. Nice to have a polishing pad, too.

I would make sure the Top Hat fits properly in the Satchel.

Finnaly heres a picture of it
The hat is fits in the box
Like a second skin from my eyes

And its specialty that it has its own personal box for the polishing pad

$50 for the top hat and box you show seems a very good price. If it's your size, buy it.

Hey guys,i want to ask,it is really better buying size bigger or size smaller for top hats, because some says that top hat was need to worn higher so go lower on your normal hat size, but some people say that better buying bigger because you can conform it?my size is 57/7 so its quite pain in the a** for searching them but in german ebay theres a lot of 56 size, you answer is very helpful for me,thanks

I would recommend that you buy a vintage top hat in your size. A smaller size will sit too high on your head and look silly. A larger size will fall down around your ears and require too much padding for it to look right.

I agree with @Steve1857 in buying your size but if you are buying vintage, you might use lenght and width measurements to supplement your head circumference measure. I have NO experience with top hats but my experience with vintage bowlers has taught me the listed (U.S.) size is often overstated by 1/2 to 1 full size. Many 7 1/8 bowlers I have tried are closer to a size 7 and many listed as 1/4 are closer to 1/8.

Well thankyou!i got some good price and even in full condition but sadly many of them are in size 56,so do i have to buy size bigger or stay in my original hat circumferences?

You head circumference is correct but use your length and width measurements to help you get a good fit (regular oval, long oval, etc). What I'm saying is that you can't always trust that an 80 year old hat labelled 1/8 is always 1/8. At least, that has been my experience with vintage bowlers. And, unlike most fedoras and homburgs (soft felts), stiff felt hats (bowlers and toppers) can't be as easily stretched and don't as easily "conform" to your head with wear making it much more important to take good measurements before you buy so you don't spend a lot of time, effort and money buying and selling hats just to find one that fits comfortably.
