Enjoy? I'm in awe. Top hat heaven for me, Alan. Your eclectic hat collection is beyond compare and beyond enviously beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Stefan [emoji4]Looking good, Steve. That is a topper with stature!
Thank you, Alan. I feel so lucky to have it in my humble collection. Thanks again... this is a subset of my top hats but good to illustrate the range of crown heights over the years. Yours is a beauty!
That is a very nice topper indeed, Alan. It's been well looked after during its 100+ years.Dunlap top hat, c.1900. Crown height is 6.25" (16cm). Ventilated at the top of the crown and at the front of the sweatband. Brim is deeply curled.

The box is very similar to the one that came with my Lincoln Bennett. It came from Boswell's of Oxford. Does yours have a makers label on it?
You're so welcome, Alan. I would have bought the box without the hat. It is a wonderful piece of Copenhagen hat history.Just wonderful... thanks for the great pictures and close-up of the fabulous box artwork.
I love a tall crown!!Alan, I'm just in envy of your toppers.

No question at all about it, Scott. Everyone needs a topper in their collection [emoji4]. Yours looks very nice indeed.I bought a Topper a few years ago because, well everybody needs a Topper in their collection don't they? I will probably never wear it, and it is a size too small, but it is pretty cool.

I thought you looked just dandy, Scott. Probably look even better in the right attire. Thanks Steve. It is a good looking hat, but I don't know if it looks good on me.
Fantastic!Ca. WWI, very probably pre WWI, silk top hat.
The box is a joy to behold. I can translate the Danish another time.
One of the icings on the cake, along with the hat box images and labels, was the satin polisher pad: silk top hat owners shouldn't be without one.

Very nice one, Scott. And they were worn quite high on the head in the old days, so you could easily get away with it.I bought a Topper a few years ago because, well everybody needs a Topper in their collection don't they?
