Well every girl likes paisley so line up ladies! This time paisley overload on a nice bright red scarf, it’s one of those narrow Tootals coming in at only 27cm wide and from what I have read these narrower ones date from the the 1960s anyone else heard/read that? Have a look and enjoy!

PS Havotnicus I wear these old Tootals regularly; flat folded in half untried around the neck below a jacket for the colour or folded with a single knot and never had one unwrap or slip off me. One thing, is yours silk or one of the modern modern ‘shiny’ rayon ones as I don’t wear those? Sorry I’m of no help to you maybe someone else may step in?

More Tootal magic with a double blue scarf! It has pale blue body with paisley design and wonderful long, thick and straight rich dark blue tassels…I’m excited! Fabric and label suggest a sixties number. This was an EvilBay purchase as I like the design so much and the pale blue I’d never seen before, I hope others like it!

View attachment 613953 Hi thank you for having me in the group, I’ve enjoyed reading this thread. I have recently started collecting Tootal scarves and ties.

Here are my recent finds, I particularly like the cream and grey one.

I’m thinking that the navy polka dot might be an early one as it has the patent numbers from the late 1920s. So maybe the scarf is pre-war, what do you reckon?

That's very early label of the brand used in 1920s. In 1930, they will start using "REGD" sign on label for ages.

Well I was going to add another Lemon scarf this time but had a big score, I picked up an old Tootal one with a PatentEd Finish label and it’s a beauty. I has a blue base colour featuring repeated columns of paisley patterns and two coloured tassels…hmmm a new favourite! This is a true classic and in Great condition, interestingly the label is on the wrong side, all of my other Tootals when you look at the end of the scarf with the label it is to the right this one is to the left, anyone else out there seen one like that?

This scarf was made in 1920s, the very early scarf of Tootal's. My 20s scarf also has the label on the left.

I have been remiss posting my Tootal Scarves but I will get back to it! Today though I have to report a ‘Tootal Horde‘! A local auction house had a vintage fashion auction from a single estate around 300 lots of gear going back to the 1940s, lot 80 was a ‘collection of gents scarves’ I scored it for AUD82 all in it included; 2 burgundy scarves with small dots, 1 blue scarf with small dots, 1 plain red scarf (Plain Tootals are so hard to find), 1 blue scarf with coloured stripes BUT missing its label and a blue cravat with white squares, see below for more on this! Two of the Tootals were older Tebelized ones .
the horde…

The cravat is actually a Lichfield brand cravat made in NZ with Tootal fabric, sorry the gold was hard to capture in the picture, anyone else have a Lichfield product made with Tootal fabric?

Cheers!

Nice bundle!
I haven't seen Lichfield in Tootal fabric yet, but I remember two German ties from LACO made from Tootal fabric—they're posted here in the thread:
