To all the jackets you've loved before (that traveled in and out your door)

One is a Vanson highwayman(white fur collar)The brown one is a Bates, the other is an Aero M/C jacket. I love the Vanson HWM. I can't find fault in it. The others were just a bit too short in the torso for me.

Thanks for the info,

Have you ever owned or tried on Schott perfecto 618?? I'm wondering how the highwayman compares to it?

Here's just the beginning... There are more waxed jackets and overcoats, but I guess this is the start, these have disappeared:

- Aero Barnstormer
- Aero A-2s, several, lost count, many hides (have one left, also one original)
- Aero Highwayman, again several, lost count, also many hides and colors, (have one left)
- Aero Route 66 (two of them, could keep count there)
- Aero LHB
- Aero Hercules
- Bill Kelso Indiana Jones
- Wested Indiana Jones
- Alexander Detroit
- Aero B-3
- Schott motorcycle thingy, that was just for experimentation
- LVC Menlo
- Alexander whatever, two front pockets only
- Pike Brothers N-1 (have one left, though)
- Lots of Barbours, they come and go (have two left)
- 70s G-1 (kept an original 55J14 instead)

That's over the last 4 years or so, I reckon a normal turnover here :) There's enough left to last me my lifetime... I'm not a collector, I just wear things.

I did have a 618 but sold it b/c I felt it was too short in the sleeve and body length. I ultimately only kept the Vanson b/c the fit it offered was the best all around.

Yeah I hear you. When going over the measurement charts the Vanson highwayman seems like it would fit better than the Schott. Thanks for the info.

Well behind the front lines!
A had a really nice condition original WW2 B-10 jacket in size 44, with a silk Chinese blood chit sewn into the lining, bought at a re-enactment flea market in Tampa in the 90s from a vendor who simply didn't understand how rare it was. I must admit I do miss it from time to time, but I was offered an insane amount of money for it, over ten years ago, and still consider it to have been a good idea to sell as I used that money for some stuff I still have and treasure to this day...
I recently bought an At The Front B-10 replica as I'd thought of that original jacket off and on for years and always wanted one I could wear without worrying something would happen to it.

How are you liking that Johnson Ton? Is it for sale??? LOL
I did sell it. But only because I was in pursuit of my bootlegger! A pursuit That continues to this day but I think in January I'll finally have it! But all kidding aside I just saw Star Wars and my leather jacket pursuits seem trivial!! Look what they did to......

This is a really cool thread.

I'll never regret letting go of this one:

It was such a cool jacket but it's the leather that really makes me regret it. Most beautiful leather I've EVER seen, ever in my whole entire life, in it's entirety. I've never seen anything like it.

They are, and Aero did all my requests for this one to make it as close looking to a Buco J-20whichever as possible. But I messed up the length... Even got a custom made belt for it made. But that jacket stood out, man. I had people stare at me. It was rock & roll alright, and not just because of the tag. . .

@Monitor Do you have any pics of you wearing it?
Here's a shot of my j-106. Which I sold. Why? Cause I'm a dumb ass.

The AN-6552 that fit me beautifully I recently sold. Pretty much A condition. Though I always revert back to the Monkees when I fall into despair,

"Tomorrow's Gonna Be a New Day"

So plenty of unknown jackets to look forward to in the future.

Only because I knew I wouldn't ride in it. And, like I said before, I'm not that smart. I try. I really do, but God doesn't always give with both hands! But I do regret letting that one go
