Excellent fit on this Aero Type 3 in Dark Seal Vicenza Horsehide! Our customer from Vancouver, BC, picked his Type 3 right off our Featured Stock page!
The lighter Vicenza leathers will darken a bit with age and exposure. The darker Vicenza colors will lighten and darken with age and exposure. This all depends on the wearer's history...someone might even use a treatment that will change the color a bit as well.
Have you ever seen or felt thier (Aero) Steerhide. It's superb so much so I sold my Aero HH biker and went for the Steerhide. It weighs 3 tons and had so much more character than the HH in my opinion. I ride seriously and compared to my Langlitz and definitely Vanson this Aero SH is the finest jacket I've ever owned and would certainly offer the very best protection of any. See if you can experience this before definitely opting for the HH. Like me you might be won over.Hm, I can see why Aero is extending its leather range. Its FQHH is really its only standout hide (and it is beautiful). The leather it uses on its A-2s, for example, hasn't the same character at all as Eastman A-2s or, I gather, LW's. So it makes sense that Aero is venturing out into hides, eg those from Italy, that can compete in character with the FQHH.
Carrie,
What sort of treatment? I’ve used coconut oil with my Alden natural CXL Indys and that has worked well. Just looking for something to treat the stripes on the incoming Board Racer so they darken a little more and faster than the main jacket.

Will do!That's an interesting idea! We typically use products like pure petroleum jelly or Dr. Jackson's Hide Rejuvenator (lanolin base) as a protectant on leather and both will darken a lighter (or very dry) leather significantly. We've never used coconut oil, but there are tons of treatments out there that others swear by! Regardless of what you use, be sure to test the treatment on a sample piece of Natural. Once your custom jacket is ready for delivery, make a request for a sample of the Natural and we'll include it in the box with your custom jacket.
Fall colors are beginning to emerge! This beautiful Aero A-2 in Seal Vicenza Horsehide is glowing in the natural fall light!
