I think the Aeromarine would be great in this leather, shawl collars scream dark blue to me.

Is there a similar dark blue color that could be had in cow or horse that could be used for a cafe racer?

Is this one of the blues you sent me Carrie? Looks darker in the pics. That is a blue I could do :)

Here's the Navy Blue cowhide.. and it's very, very navy!!!

Just to avoid confusion....the hide on mine is goat hide.
It is a much lighter blue over dyed with black. As it wears more of the blue will show through in those areas where the wear occurs.

Here is a photo from (or a link to ...not sure which I will come up with here) the Aero web page showing the "Speedway" with close up of the leather. This one is a close up of the zipper pull...where you can see the underlying color of the leather in the cut edge of the pull;

and the Aero section on the "Speedway"

Nice. It's already a beautiful jacket, but its gonna have loads of character as well once it gets some mileage :)

I love the look of this Vanson. How does the sizing run, Carrie? I just got an Brown FQHH Aero Dustbowl from you in a size 42 recently that I had to shorten the arms a bit on.

Shannon

Shannon,

Your custom Aero Dustbowl was specified a little shorter in the arms than our standard stock Aero half belt jackets and it fit you very well! The Vanson Chopper in size Medium, a 41/42, measures 25.5 inches in the sleeves, which will also fit you quite nicely. Therefore, just like your custom Aero, the Vanson Chopper would be a perfect fit right out the box!

The Bavarian deerskin is awesome. I've put an order in with Aero for a Cafe Racer made out of it, which I'll be getting unlined as the inner is smooth, and retains the natural tan colour. The dye is on the outside surface only.

The leather is produced in a small tannery that's pretty much the last place that uses a fish oil process. It is quite possibly the nicest leather that I've seen. And Aero are currently selling it off on the cheap.

I know I keep on talking up this hide, but it really is spectacular.
