I guess that could be one. I just remember reading somewhere on here that there were "many threads" about the supposed "hot water treatment".
I'm not even sure I'll do this: i'm of the "let things age naturally school" for the most part, but juuuust in case, I'd like to have some trade secrets at my disposal.

Hi Carrie,
Could you please tell me the sleeve and back length of the Vanson Chopper, and if one can be had with longer sleeves if necessary (similar to a PLU-3)? Also, is the fit tighter than a PLU-3? I've got a PLU-3 size 44 that is a little big, and an Aero CR in 42 that is perfect (has 28" sleeves, 20" between shoulder seams), would I go for a L in the Chopper?

The Medium Vanson Chopper is going to be the right size for you...it's about the same size as a 42 Comet PLU-3. I'll post up the measurements of the Medium later when I get to the shop and can measure it out....

If you do need longer sleeves than what is stock, we can custom order the jacket for you and get it quite quickly!

The Medium Vanson Chopper measures 21" pit-to-pit; 19" shoulder-to-shoulder; 26.5" from the collar seam, down the back, to the bottom hem; and 25.5" from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve cuff. However, please remember that Vanson jackets wear longer in the sleeves than Aero jackets. If you need a Vanson Chopper that's a bit longer in the sleeves and the body, that's no problem...we've definitely had these made before for customers in our shop and for Fedora Lounge Members as well! One thing to keep in mind is that with custom Vanson Choppers, most people do go with the standard black liner and not the red, quilted liner...

The brown is definitely a great choice in Horween's C/X Hides! The Cordovan is beautiful as well...here's an Aero Maxwell in C/X Cordovan with a Grey Alpaca Liner!

The Aero Maxwell continues to be a favorite and looks incredible. Here's a Fedora Lounge member who stopped by the shop awhile ago to model the Maxwell...
