The sequel is not always a guarantee to be good. I still can't figure out how the X-files movies would have been considered as a good investment.

The Amazing Spiderman is not a sequel to the other Spiderman movies. It is a complete reboot, starting with the origin and is actually closer to the comic book (The Amazing Spiderman. There are *several* Spiderman titles!)

I can not believe they remade Total Recall though. It was bad enough the first time! lol!

I really liked the other three, so I am actually looking forward to Ice Age 4. The others, not so much...

The Amazing Spider-Man was amazing. It was the comic book come to life. The best version put on screen to date.

I saw Ice Age 4 yesterday with my daughter, aged 10. She enjoyed it but I found it dragged in the mid section, IMO the weakest of the four films. On the other hand, I saw John Carter in 3D at the weekend and realy enjoyed it. Even Mrs Otter, who is very picky about SciFi films, enjoyed it. She even said that she would have hapily paid money to see it.
