Hi everyone this is my first post but I have been following a lot of the threads and just wanted to thank everyone for their shared experiences for this noob leather jacket junkie!! I just unboxed my first higher Tier leather jacket, a 1930’s premier Highwayman in cordovan FQHH and I have fallen in love. I was concerned about the fit as I have wide shoulders as compared to my waist but Chloe at Aero recommended the gussets and added .5 in to each shoulder, it is a size 44. I am happy with the fit, anybody have some feedback?
You are happy. That's the only thing that counts. Congratulations on the cool jacket.

Hi All

Just got my hands on this Iron Heart deck jacket for the winter. Went with the large as the medium felt restrictive, couldn’t lift my arms above my head and when I placed my hands in the pockets my elbows stuck out so much it looked like I was impersonating a duck.
I’m 5”10, 78kg / 173 lbs a 41” chest and wide shoulders for my height.
Just wondered what you guys think on the size have I done the right thing or should I still go back for the medium?

The fit looks perfect to me, and I’m gonna make a suggestion. I think you should move the waist adjusters back to the looser button. In my experience, those kind of straps don’t really do much to improve the fit and actually end up making the jacket look a little sloppy and weird when you button them on the tighter button.
Try loosening up the buttons and taking another photo with a jacket that way, I think you would agree. Other than that, it looks great!

I had been wearing that way originally. I’ll see how it looks again, thanks for the advice.

Crazy long sleeves. I remember @ton312 returning their truckers because of that. Apparently the trend extends to N-1s.
I think they should just have two types of clothing lines one specifically made for bikers and one for fashion. Lucky for me I do ride so long sleeves won’t go totally unappreciated.

Most of IH outerwear is long-sleeved
That's good to know. As I'm slim and long and don't like sleeves that are too short, I should consider it.

I like it. Even with the rolled-up sleeves.

Looks good to me too.

No use getting what was designed as a functional garment when you can´t move properly. In fact, a very slightly oversized look is perfect for an N-1.

IMO:

Fit looks good. I like shorter jackets and wouldn’t mess with that.

I personally wouldn’t get a tougher/thicker leather unless you’re Indiana Jones or James Bond.

I like “antique” zippers with brown but Aero AFAIK only offers them in Talon and those are reaaaally bad.
I don’t know what aero offers at the moment, but if they offer a bigger talon zipper, definitely go for it. The small ones they use aren’t great
