Ethel Shutta or Ann Pennington?

assuming you mean Ann Pennington, Ziegfield Follies star (not Miss March, 1976) either way Go ANN!

Okay neither will win against Marilyn Monroe (Miss December, 1953) but Jayne Mansfield (Miss February, 1955 )or Betty Page (Miss January, 1955)? Sorry no pictures have to get your own.

Yes, both were star dancers and singers. Both for Zigfield. Here is Miss Pennington:

and Miss Shutta (Mrs. George Olson) in Zigfield's "Whoppee":

As far as beauties, Anita Page:

Anna Sten:

and Anna Held:

are more to my taste.

And for something completely different, Zelma O'Neal or Patsy Kelly?

Gee, that's a hard one!

I prefer O'Neil's overall persona, and of course her singing voice, but Miss Kelly's sharp tounge and perfect timing give her the edge in my book.
She was featured in the first stage show that I was taken too at the tender age of ten, "No, No, Nanette".

Shaw and Lee or Gallagher and Shean?

I'm an engineer.[huh]

It's pleasant enough. I know that it has no cachet, but I LIKE IT.

I even like Grand Macnish.

Makes a fine Rob Roy, particularly with Heublein's Vermouth and Fee's bitters.

"Dumb Dora" or "Somebody's Stenog"?

I don't care about cachet. I hate when they blend perfectly good Alberfeldy to make the blends that are inferior to the single malt.:eusa_doh: DeWars has done some very wierd things lately as well---less quality more quantity. :eusa_doh:
