Thanks to this post, a large part of my morning/noontime went to looking at every link and page related to TaT. I'm not comfy taking my own measurements though. I wish I had the dough for this.

kodou: Ideally, you should have a seamstress or tailor take them -- someone experienced in it. They're usually fine with it if you give them a small tip (or in the case of our member CharlestonBows, your business card!). Additionally, you can have the trousers come unhemmed and the sleeves unfinished. Many high end suits come that way so they can be altered locally or at the retailer.

Senator Jack: Did you order one? :)

Anyone checking out this thread ought to appreciate this. It was a custom tailored (Japan) suit I found and sold on ebay. I expected it to go for a bit more as it was so cool. But it went to a good home I am sure.

One button, black collar, slightly pegged uncuffed pants (for boots I imagine)

Seemed pretty Beatlesque.

Wondering what the Fifties-Sixties era of suits is called. The "Golden Era" of suits covers the approximate time period of 1930 to 1950. Maybe the Fifties-Sixties era could be called "the Silver Age", you know like they do in the comics? Or maybe "the Post-Modern Era", as reflected in art and music of the Fifties and Sixties?
How about the Pre-Ruckus Era or

As someone who graduated law school in 1962, and who was into dressing right, you could name this transitional period after me! Surely's Era. Sounds nice, eh?
