Interesting to compare the cost and retail price changes from 1914 to 1922 in the fashion plate posts above. Top retail price of $20 in 1914 grew to $48 for the highest grade shown in the 1922 price list. The CPI calculator also shows a large inflation during that time span. Prices would settle quite a bit after the passage of another 8 years.

I assume you have a good handle on the best practices for archival storage of print ads Matt. I work in an archive at Oregon State and can point you in the right direction for Archival Supplies if needed. This is history! The collection deserves the best care and preservation possible.

More Stetson fashion plates.......Spring 1924. Of note in addition to a Stetsonian in stiff and soft versions (also seen in 1922) we see the first referance I have found to the Stetson "Whippet"!! Made in soft felt with a 5 1/2 inch crown and a 2 1/2 inch RAW edge!!!
