1950's Stetson One-hundred "100". 2-3/4" raw x 6" open crown. Keyhole tag black/gold. Stars crest. Wind trolley. Tan color. Very much like an OR except no binding. Haven't checked behind sweat for tags.

Good get, Jack. I like the little wagon, too.

Nice. I had one spotted a few weeks back but the $$$ went way over my budget. Enjoy the 100.

If you're just starting your collection when it comes to vintage get the best you can get. Fewer hats often means a better collection. Mix in a custom or two. No need to own a bunch of average auction hats. For one thing you'll never get your money back out of them.

Congrats on the '100' Jack! A beauty...

In all the things I have collected over the years I eventually get around to this idea, but it takes a long and winding road to get there.

That's a chuckwagon. I had to draw that to scale, then build it from scratch for an engineering class. Did you have to do anything like that? It's a little worse for the wear after all these yrs. My son played with it some growing up. Lost the drawings yrs ago.
Not anything like that. Spent a lot of time in the machine shop making simple parts. That and sitting at drafting boards until I was seeing double.

Yes, Jack, I'm trying. I have a couple of custom's in the queue but hoping to snag a Stratoliner and a 100 worth the price. I know I'll never get rich but I don't want to start out in the hole either. I did talk to a couple of knowledgeable folks here and they suggested a good price, so used that as my base and the one I was looking at went over that budget so i had to pass on it. The hunt continues :) Thanks for the reply, I'll keep your advice in mind. I can see how it would be easy to have a house full of hats that are of very low value, monetarily or otherwise!

I remember someone in class made a really cool bi-plane with all the struts & well detailed.

Incredible Jack. The long oval with a 7 5/8 is a real find. Does it feel as nice as it looks?

Perfect Jack!
I know you have been waiting a long time to find one your size.
You sure found a dandy!!
Hope the wait was worth it!!
That certainly is a Jack Hat!

Ok, for the life of me I can't find the 'maple leaf' and the 'stars embossed'. What am I missing? I'm really trying to find one of these in 6 7/8, and trying to understand the various eras of the One Hundred.
