And here is my ticket.

Purchased direct from the family of the man who WON this hat in 1956 or 57.
He won it for seed corn sales but never wore it as "it was not his style" so was shelved for 65 odd years or so.......is like it came from a time machine. I NEVER thought I would ever find one, so was not really on my radar.......you just get lucky sometimes.

I have been reticent to look too much for fear of popping some stitching. Will try to mirror around when I feel braver. With the investment I have in this hat I sure don't want to crap it up......Does have a keyhole size tag.
I don’t know anything about the age of the hat but having worked a lot in Omaha I do know a little bit about Wolf Brothers. They opened their first store on ”L” St just west of the Stockyards back in the hay day of the 1920’s & 30’s. Then sometime in the 1970’s they opened a second store in the new indoor Westroads Mall. Even though the stockyards have been gone for yrs now the original store just closed in the last 5 yrs or so. Not sure about the mall store.

CS77 posted when he was a kid his dad took him into Wolf Bros & bought him a hat once when they were down to the Stockyards.

Love it when this thread pops up.
Congratulations, i know you are thrilled.
Did it come in a case as well?
Yes, be careful checking the tags. The sound of threads popping is right up there with hearing bones break. Except bones mend, threads don’t.
