Just purchased a vintage Knox Premier. It is in good shape, a little blemish on the crown and one small blemish under the brim. It has a 2 1/4" brim. Seller didn't really know what the date was but guessed late 50s to 60s.

Knox Twenty in 7 5/8! It was shipped via a slow steamship, but it’s as nice as I had hoped. 5 5/8 inch open crown and 2 5/8 inch brim with the Custom Edge. The felt is what I’d consider mid-weight. It is easily dry creased, but it’s more substantial than some Twenties.

Brent, I'm just happy as hell you found such a great hat in your size. I know you struggle to be able to enjoy vintage as much as some of us do. Wear it in good health!!

Maybe the pics leave something to be desired; it has a very Homburg-y brim, bound and sewn, and with a small-diameter pencil curl. It won't snap down like a Fedora. It was advertised as a Homburg, and someone in the Homburg thread seemed to think it was one.

This hat was nothing at all like the seller described. The photos were equally poor. My disappointment didn’t last once I got a good look at it. Knox Excellent in near mint condition. Dark, but not too dark, navy blue felt and a sort of lords hat curled brim. Size is 7 1/8 US made during Knox’s Ovalized Sixteenths period. The felt is thin and very easily dry creases. The brim edge is unusual: not unlike another hat I recently found, the edge is bound in matching felt. The felt binding is wider on the bottom so with the curled edge the wide portion is what you see when it’s worn just like the binding on a homburg. With the curl, the brim measures a trim 2 1/8”. The supple reedless sweatband is a full 2” wide and is immaculate. Very unusual hat that I really wish was in my size.
