Love this one! It appears to have some age, is it pre war? or is that just the current bash?

Based on some of my hats that has the lines and look of a 60s slim brim. How is the felt easy to mould, stiff or claylike? It has a lot going for it, stitched in liner (not glued), wind trolley. Overall a nice Knox. Wear it in style! Here is my latest Knox..a Knox 20......a newer one.......probably one of the last produced....but still selling for its $20. Really cool RED lining.....late 60's early 70's?? Not sure when they stopped making these...or selling them for twenty dollars.

It is only slightly stiff, and it is easy to shape the crown. Seams to really have been seldom if ever worn...Based on some of my hats that has the lines and look of a 60s slim brim. I know this is an old post from May, but wow! The hat is incredible and the liner, well, I've run out of words. Really something.A few additional daylight pictures following steaming and brushing...
This is a Union Officer's beaver fur hat made by Knox. It has a cloth eagle insignia on the crown front & a Civil War Michigan button on a cockade with a hat feather.
No, not my collection. This hat just screams history! This is a real treat to see. Is it in your collection?
Delete the post then. Delete it from the other thread as well. The edit window has timed out & I can do nothing with it now.
