The Rocky Hat?

You are correct..... the hat from Creed part 1 isn’t the same from Creed 2. I have photos and it wasn’t made by Baron hats that’s for sure!

It seems Dobbs makes two wool Rocky hats.They've got Dobbs Rocky and Dobbs-The Rocky II.The Rocky is described as having a 4"crown height.The Rocky II has a taller crown height of 4 1/2.

It would be wonderful Dobbs would make a fur felt version of their "Rocky".If not,is the fur felt Dobbs Glenwood the next closest thing?Is it the same shape and design as the wool

That’s the hat he used on the movie Creed 2 and it’s not the Baron hat for sure.
The picture I’m gonna upload now it’s the original Rocky hat from the original Rocky movie and looks pretty similar to me!

I have the same perception of the hat being a tall crown 4” maybe more but will never know until I find the same vintage hat ! lol

Yeah, on that hat it does look like cotton. In some photos I've seen of Stallone's actual hats they look like cotton as well until you get to Rocky Balboa (a.k.a. Rocky VI?) and it's clearly some kind of tweed with a Herringbone pattern. I guess he got some not-so-favorable feedback about that hat and that's why he finally had the original hats duplicated for the Creed movies.

I’m looking for the original hat but no luck yet !

Kevin McAndrew is a Resistol brand. I run into them periodically, but I’ve never given the non-felted hats any consideration. If I see one in the future I’ll pass it along…never suspected there was interest in such hats.

A trilby is a type of fedora, so they're not mutually exclusive.

Mine was made by Dobbs. I was looking for something on evilBay and while I was scrolling it caught my eye because of the shape. I wasn't even thinking "Rocky", I just liked it. It had a rather nasty "chemical" odor when it arrived, but a bath in some mild detergent took care of that and that crease on the back of the crown.

Yes, eBay. It was okay when I first joined, but the moment Meg Whitman left they started making really stupid policy changes. I still scan the wares once in a while, but it ain't like it used ta' be.

I used eBay to buy vintage stuff like hats but now people buy more things on Amazon now.
Talking about amazon I just bought this hat by Dobbs it will be deliver to me on the 5 I’ll take pictures of the hat and share here !

I usually use Amazon and eBay as a sort of "baseline" for pricing when I'm shopping for something "new" (as opposed to "used"; I don't think Amazon sells used goods). At least half of the time I find things on one of those sites that are priced lower than even the manufacturer's website (if they even have one), and sometimes that includes tax and shipping.

On the other hand, I ordered a hat from Village Hat Shop in San Diego because they were having a 10% off sale which covered the sales tax, and free shipping. So I basically got the hat for a few cents less than their listed price; someone else beat Amazon and eBay for a change.
