I know you're in CA somewhere; how far are you from Mesa, AZ? I'm thinking about going out for the High Noon Show & Auction, Jan 18-22nd. I haven't been for 2-3 yrs (Super Bowl yr was 2015?). Interested? The invitation is open to anyone else interested in going as well. Beautiful break in the middle of winter!

Forgot to mention, I'm only a 5-6 hour drive away.

Driving 5-6 hours here will get you across Portugal from south to north (or vice-versa).

Driving 5-6 hours here will get you across Portugal from south to north (or vice-versa).

I come from the southern most part of the state of Texas. I once had to drive up to the panhandle in the northern part of the state and it was a 12 hour drive and it would’ve still taken another 4-5 to get across the border into Oklahoma.

I just bought this very cheaply on eBay. I'm going to use it for practicing conversions to fedoras.

There is no way I'd wear this particular hat as it is. The low crown and the ribbon are just not for me. We'll see how it turns out.

Nice one dh, the Stagecoaches have nice felt. I agree with you about that ribbon. A lot of hat to work with! Looking forward to seeing what you do with it.

Thanks a lot! I got it for a steal! Just $20! I'm reshaping it right now and will post pics of it when it's done. I wish I could find a Resistol fedora in my area but hats were never very popular in Canada, outside of Calgary, Alberta which is the cowboy capital of the Great White North. I'm jealous of what you Americans can find in thrift shops. All we have here are tuques!

Try looking up Bernard hats, they have a few Resistol fedoras in stock and are based in Calgary. Im planing on getting one myself

For the most part, Bernard hats has terrible prices and even worse customer service. They don't return calls nor emails.
