An eBay win from last year. An unusual OR-style hat, as its brim is only about 2.25". I need to steam/spray and correct the top edge of the cattleman's crease on the port side, as seen in pic 1. But the hat is comfortable and sharp-looking. I wore it to the grocery store on Sunday, and got a "Nice hat!" and a "Izzat a Western, or a fedora?" from two patrons. (I told the latter, "Yes.")

Resistol Kings 50 San Antonio in unworn condition. The felt is as nice as or dare I say slightly better than my Open Road 7X Clear Beaver. It has a velvety finish to it. I steamed it and shaped it up a bit after I took these photos, so will post a couple of updated photos as soon as I can.

An older fella at church, who knows I like hats, gave me 2 hats today. One cheaper straw hat. And one nice Resistol. Black, with a thin ribbon, and 3" brim. It had a rectangular telescope bash, and heavily western-curved brim, so I steamed it up and reshaped it more to my liking, with a diamond bash and snap brim. I don't know much about the hat, though. There is no 'X' designation printed on it. I think it's fairly old, because the gold print on the sweatband leather is all faded. The "Resistol Self Conforming" is still pretty clear, but the "Maverick" has no gold left in it. The stamp for where it was purchased I can't completely make out... "D...... F (or P) Ranch Supply M..... N.C." There's no paper tag inside the sweatband, either. The inside of the sweatband is stamped with ink B88216

Here's some pics. Maybe some of you can tell me exactly what this hat is?
