Disco era?
Michael
Only found those on small size.
I would like to have one, not sure why...
Yes, those are the felt qualities I find but always small size for me, also online since I do not live in the US for yard/garage sales.I've been looking for a maroon or wine colored Resistol. There's seems to be a line of them made in different colors I usually find them online usually 3x and a few 5xs
sweetHere is my latest Resistol. Purchased at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago
It is a 4x chaparal. This was a model on my want list, and had one on watch online.
I was looking through some junk hats and found an abused Texas Hatters hat which I bought. The woman asked if I liked hats, and my wife replied "he collects them!" The woman then asked her husband if he had others inside and he came out with this one. This model was also offered in the Stagecoach collection. The man said he bought it years ago for line dancing, wore it twice, didn't like western hats or line dancing and it's been in the box every since.

Great hat! Great beard! I was looking at one of those on eBay in black. I might have to look a little closer now. Here is my latest Resistol. Purchased at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago

Thanks for the comments. I think the band does give it it's flare@I've always found that style of hatband interesting. It gives that model a distinctive flare; don't it??!?![]()

It is model S304 on the Stagecoach collection. Since it's new, does it have the paper tag with the model name and number? Just to see the difference. This model was also offered in the Stagecoach collection.

It does not have the tag inside the band. Unfortunate because all of the other packaging including the owners pamphlet is there. It is model S304 on the Stagecoach collection. Since it's new, does it have the paper tag with the model name and number? Just to see the difference.

Nice catch.
That's a nice looking Resistol. Some, @Joao Encarnado, might suggest that the brim is small, and I would probably agree with them. [emoji3]However, I like the look of the hat. Here is one of my favorite Resistol hats. It originally had a Ft. Worth or "cattleman with kicks" crease. It has a slightly flanged brim so I left it up in back.![]()

Thank you, I have seen some of Joao's stagecoaches and it makes me want to try a 4" . The widest brim I have is 3 1/2.That's a nice looking Resistol. Some, @Joao Encarnado, might suggest that the brim is small, and I would probably agree with them. [emoji3]However, I like the look of the hat.

Thanks for the nice comments, I really like the red liner, brown sweat, era of resistol westerns.Love what you did with that. You have also confirmed a statement I heard the other day. "There is always someone with a better beard" (and hat apparently).![]()
