I just received the black and white version of this Mossant ad. Different hat and a couple of drinks on the table. Interesting differences.

I do not think it is....I believe at the time George Montgomery was advertising for Stetson.....I might even have one of his ads in my Stetson thread...

Then I guess Champ's ad agency selected a model who resembled him quite a bit.
