I am so skint is painful. Powerless, I had to watch the perfect hat being taken away from me. And I mean who, but who really, could look as good as me in this...?! Even the diameter is perfect for my had, which is not a small thing. Sigh...Wish it went for 300 pounds, I'd feel better about it, but it didn't.

...and there was no question to be able to bid on these either

What's worst is that I've been really naughty lately and that is part of the reason of why I am so broke. Not so convinced that all the result of naughtiness works for me, so prepare yourselves for an avalanche of pics to come, I'll be asking your opinion!

Thanks Miss Sis, you're always so very nice!
As for the socks, they were NOS and sold for very little...but what can one do when one has a rent to pay! :(

Let's just hope that some of the things I did end up buying will be worth it - haven't yet arrived from the States, which is where I seem to be doing most of my net shopping from. Wish there was a better alternative so wouldn't pay so much on shipping, but most of the time, even with the shipping included, things are still cheaper than over here!

Looking around for a nice black pencil skirt I came across this amazing skirt and dress, which act as foundations garments/flattening devises and skirt/dress all in one, they look great but theres no small sizes left! Boooo. I did find a place that does Betty Page clothing in Dublin though, uh ohhhhh! Retro, they stock dresses in the Georges St arcade for any Dublin ladies. The images wont show up, but heres the links!

This lot of 2 went for $42. I really just want the red purse on the left but not for that much. I think I can probably draft my own pattern for it.

ooooweeeee! the way vintage items are being priced is infuriating. I was at a market at the weekend, non-designer 80s gear for 60-100 euro on one stall, and beautiful 50's dresses in impeccable condition for the same price, the cheek!! things are looking up though, seems like lot of companies are coming out with reprints of their old patterns, mind you, having the original is half the charm!

I think I own the pattern on the right. I'll have to go check.

that really is a swell hat and can see why you would be miffed. I bet if you showed one of the hat artist on etsy one could recreate it for you. try the alchemy under custom link there.

trouble is bespoke hats are even more expensive! i mean ready made ones go on etsy for 150 -200 dollars, so i imagine bespoke must me more! that i cannot pay.
this one didn't even go for a fortune, which only makes it worse, i simply didn't have any money at the time. :(
